A haldi and mehendi ceremony setup on the lawn

Occasions

Haldi & Mehendi

Daytime, colour, and ground you are allowed to make a mess of.

Haldi is not a tidy event, and it should not be held somewhere that wants it to be. Open lawn, water and shade nearby, and a private room to change in afterwards.

Why the daytime matters

Haldi and mehendi run in daylight, which changes what you need from a venue. Shade becomes the priority rather than lighting, and the ground takes a beating — turmeric, water, marigold. Both lawns are grass, and both have a private room and powder room attached, so guests can change without leaving.

Mehendi tends to want low seating and long, slow hours. The smaller lawn suits it well; the enclosure keeps the sound in and the group together.

Running haldi and the wedding on separate days

Families often ask whether the haldi can run the day before the wedding on the same grounds. Because only one lawn is let per date, that is two bookings rather than one.
